About the Art
I specialize in painting older and statelier architecturally notable buildings and private dwellings, conveying a sense of their historic significance and the magnificent detail of these wonderful edifices. My watercolors incorporate the intricacy of the original and evoke the appropriate atmosphere to enhance the overall effect. Working from my composite photographs, a single watercolor may take as long as eight weeks to complete. Each watercolor is carefully rendered in pencil and then meticulously painted using many layers of watercolor similar, in some instances, to the use of oils.
